Time. We're never given enough. With Mikey taking a leave of absence from the guitar spot, the band is finishing the industry demo, and writing more material to get ready to showcase to labels. We need some time away from local shows, so that's what we shall do. We'll play the occasional "special" date, and look for us to be back real soon.

A number of guitarists have already tried out for the position, but we have yet to settle on one. Anyone interested in trying out please email eightfoldpath@comcast.net.

BIG 8fp news. We're tracking a new 3 song industry demo that may not get publicly released. If you want to get your hands on one as soon as it's finished, here's how: Go to www.radiotakeover.com/eightfoldpath and request one of our current tracks from "timeandplace". Go to our guestbook, sign it saying you requested us and be sure to leave your e-mail. When the songs are maste#ff9933, we'll shoot you a copy, pinky swear. We're looking to get most requested of the week, so keep demanding 8fp!

We have received new endorsements from Street Grease Clothing and Basson Sound Equipment. Look for us to be rocking their gear in the very near future. We are also working on getting mp3s approved on RadioTakeover.com. As soon as everything is approved, that will be our new homepage for our mp3s.

The show scheduled for February 21st in Roseville has been cancelled, and will be replaced with a Sacramento show sometime in March. We apologize to our fans who are eagerly awaiting us to play in Sacramento, we'll be there soon!

If you havent noticed, mp3.com has shut down. Eightfold Path mp3s are now being hosted on soundclick.com. We are also working out other hosting for our mp3s as well.

We apologize to everyone who was planning on coming out to see Eightfold Path, Cutlass, Something Must Die, and Out of Reach this Friday at The Archive in Antioch. From what we understand, the city of Antioch has shut down the venue due to code and permit issues. We hope to reschedule the show, with the same, or similar lineup, in early February. Check back for updates.

Eightfold Path has been announced the Most Requested Band on KSJO's Homegrown with Sloppy Joe for the week ending on September 29th. We have been receiving regular airplay on the station for several months now, and are very humbled that our friends and fans have put forth so much time and energy to vote for us and get us to the top of the charts. We cannot thank you all enough, and encourage everyone to keep the votes coming.

We regret to inform everyone that vocalist Matt Harvey has been diagnosed with a hernia, and we are forced to cancel our upcoming Alameda and San Jose dates. His recovery time is estimated to 2-3 weeks. Please feel free to sign our guestbook if you'd like to wish Matt a speedy recovery. We hope to return to the stage on November 8th at ImusiCast in Oakland for a very special show with Fingertight(Columbia Records), Domeshots, and Nuclear Rabbit. Get your tickets now, as it will very likely sell out. We hope to see everyone there!

"Life in a Flash", the new single from Eightfold Path's "timeandplace" EP, is in the hands of Sloppy Joe and 92 KSJO, the San Francisco Bay Area's biggest rock radio station. For the song to climb the local charts (which creates a local buzz...which gets label attention....which helps some poor starving garage bands get big, fat, juicy record contracts), we need all of you to e-mail Sloppy Joe and request us on Homegrown, airing Sunday nights at 11:30pm. Please drop him a line at: sloppy@ksjo.com

The Media section has been updated with new pics from various shows. Thanks to Jason at Anaya Photography for his awesome work. More pictures should be posted in the next week.

In case you didn't notice, the tour we were contracted to go on with Immortal Records act No One, never materialized. Due to financial reasons, No One was unable to go ahead with the tour. And without a headlining act, none of the venues wanted to continue the shows. So for any fans in Arizona or San Diego (the only venues that were confirmed), we apologize.
